DETAILS: Three of the data storage industry's leading
providers will unveil a new storage networking
solution that lets smaller businesses install
a SAN (storage area network) in a matter of minutes,
without having to engage outside support. HP,
Microsoft and QLogic will demonstrate one of the
simplest, most affordable SANs, designed and priced
specifically for small to medium-sized businesses.
No longer will the productivity and performance
advantages of SANs be available only to larger
enterprises that have the resources and expertise
to manage complex management applications from
multiple vendors. Now, simple, low-cost SANs are
being made available for businesses of all sizes.
