eLocity Stocks to Watch for October 27, 2004: HCCF, CRXA, CECO, VTSS


SARASOTA, Fla., Oct. 27, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- eLocity's velocity stocks to watch for today are; HEE Corporation (Pink Sheets:HCCF), Corixa Corporation (Nasdaq:CRXA), Career Education Corporation (Nasdaq:CECO) and Semiconductor Corp. (Nasdaq:VTSS).

Investors will surely want to keep an eye on HEE Corporation (Pink Sheets:HCCF). HEE Corporation announced late in market hours on Tuesday that its proprietary diabetic treatment product, HPB-84, will be featured on Health Journal Television and CNBC beginning on October 29, 2004.

The HEE Corporation was founded for the purpose of testing and marketing a new and extremely promising neutriceutical treatment for Type II Diabetes. HEE has acquired the worldwide distribution rights for this diabetic treatment. In the United States alone, 18.2 million people have diabetes. Diabetes is the fifth leading cause of death by disease in the U.S.

HCCF currently trades at around .07 a share.

Corixa Corporation (Nasdaq:CRXA)

Immunotherapeutics development company Corixa Corp. announced Tuesday that the Committee For Medicinal Products for Human Use has issued a positive opinion for Fendrix, GlaxoSmithKline Biologicals' vaccine for the prevention of hepatitis B in specific high-risk groups.

CRXA closed Tuesday's regular trading session at $3.62, up 6 cents and was trading higher at $3.89 in the after hours market.

Career Education Corporation (Nasdaq:CECO)

Provider of private post secondary education for profit, Career Education Corporation reported higher earnings for the third quarter after the bell Tuesday evening, that beat consensus estimates by 2 cents on increased revenues. The company reported 60% increase in the net income for the quarter to $43.0 million or $0.41 per share from $26.9 million or $0.26 per share after adjusting for a 2-for-1 stock split effected in August, 2004. Total revenues for the quarter rose 39% to $438.5 million from $315.7 million for the same period last year.

CECO closed Tuesday's regular trading session at $27.94, up 32 cents, on volume of 4.3 million shares, and traded $2.31 higher at $30.25 in the after hours market.

Semiconductor Corp. (Nasdaq:VTSS)

Innovative silicon solutions designer and manufacturer Semiconductor Corp. announced after the bell Tuesday its fourth quarter financial results, reporting pro forma net loss that narrowed from last year and came in line with analysts' expectations on higher revenues. The company revealed pro forma net loss for the quarter of $3.9 million, or $0.02 per share, compared to a pro forma loss of $6.4 million, or $0.03 per share in the prior-year quarter. Revenues for the quarter increased to $52.0 million from $42.8 million recorded in the prior-year quarter.

VTSS closed Tuesday's regular trading session at $2.55 on volume of 7.9 million shares.
