LOS ANGELES, Oct. 27, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- SmartData, Inc. and Netcoast Communications, Inc. (Pink Sheets:NCST) announced that the merger between the two companies was completed following the approval by their respective stockholders. Additionally, the stockholders approved changing the name of the company from Netcoast Communications, Inc. to SmartData, Inc. At the opening of business on Tuesday, October 26, 2004, the merged company's (Pink Sheets:SDAI) stock symbol changed to SDAI and began trading on the over the counter bulletin board or "Pink Sheets". The company's headquarters will be located in Richfield, OH.
