Fried Frank Partner James McCullough Recognized as Leading Government Contracts Lawyer by Legal Times

NEW YORK and WASHINGTON, Nov. 1, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Fried Frank partner James J. McCullough has been recognized as one of the top 12 government contracts lawyers in the Washington, D.C. area by Legal Times, a leading legal publication.

Legal Times, a weekly newspaper published by American Lawyer Media, featured Mr. McCullough in an article entitled "Well Sold in Washington," identifying him as among the top 12 "go-to lawyers in the field in the D.C. area." The attorneys profiled by Legal Times were selected following dozens of interviews with government contracts clients and government contracts lawyers alike.

According to Legal Times editors in a preface to the article, "when government contractors want to protest a bid, challenge Uncle Sam's cost accounting, or defend against default terminations, these 12 names get mentioned most often."

"It is a source of pride for Fried Frank that one of our partners should be selected as one of the leading lawyers in this area. It is a recognition of Jim's 25 years of experience as a government contracts lawyer and is also a reflection of the strength of the firm's premier government contracts practice," said John T. Boese, a member of the D.C. office's Governance Group and the co-chair of its Litigation Department.

Mr. McCullough, who heads Fried Frank's Government Contracts practice, is Chair of the Public Contract Committee of the Dispute Resolution Section of the American Bar Association and Vice-Chair of the National Defense Industrial Association's Procurement Planning Committee, and he is on the Advisory Board of the National Veterans Business Development Corporation, the Advisory Board of The Government Contractor and the Privatization and Procurement Council of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Mr. McCullough is a noted author and lecturer on current issues regarding government contract law. He joined Fried Frank in 1980 and became a partner in 1985.
