Communications Research Announces Strong Interest for its Updated TeleWRITER Software

MAHWAH, N.J., Nov. 3, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- TeleWRITER Corporation, a subsidiary of Communications Research, Inc. (OTCBB:CRHI), announced today that the initial three exposition showings and demonstrations of the new Version 3.0 TeleWRITER-AGS (Advanced Graphics System) were overwhelmingly positive. As a result, the Company will accelerate the planned re-release of another legacy product, VideoWRITER, its standalone whiteboarding and graphics system. The planned release of the VideoWRITER was advanced from April-May 2005 to February 2005 for introduction to the west coast at the TechKnowledge 2005 Show February 2-3, 2005 in Las Vegas, Nevada and East Coast-Europe at the Collaborative Computing Summit, February 21-22, 2005, in New York and London, England.

"The reception to the new TeleWRITER-AGS is better than expected," stated Carl Ceragno, President of Communications Research and TeleWRITER Corporation. "We generated incredible interest and received some valuable input for additional upgrades that we can rapidly put in place. From the purchasing interest we also determined that TeleWRITER Advanced Graphics System is the right package at the right price for use in new Media and Smart Classrooms in K-20 schools and that we might even have some great upwards pricing flexibility as compared to the competition."

For years, teachers, instructors and professors used blackboards, and then whiteboards, to write study information for the classes. Up to this point, there were only expensive touch screen and board solutions to annotate and impart knowledge in an electronic classroom. VideoWRITER will provide a low-cost, robust, power communications tool for educators to use in the new electronic classrooms.

"The greatest benefit TeleWRITER Corporation provides is the ability to use existing technology, changing it slightly, to open another marketing channel" noted Jeff Cone, General Manager, TeleWRITER Corporation, "This product and TeleWRITER AGS will play off each other and provide users with systems that all have the same look, feel and brand recognition. This product and a recent move to elevate the voice and video capability of our products assure increased revenues into the future."

TeleWRITER AGS (Advanced Graphics System) has been upgraded after being dormant for over five years but nonetheless still commands a very loyal following. Communications Research acquired the software four years ago and released the first full update in early October 2004. At its peak, TeleWRITER-AGS had approximately a 60% share of the collaborative computing market in the mid-1990s. TeleWRITER-AGS has maintained a significant market share in the collaborative computing market, which is predicted to exceed $3 billion this year.
