STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Nov. 09, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Gunnebo: Troax has entered into an agreement with Motoman Robotics Europe AB for the supply of wire-mesh protective fencing for customised machine guarding systems. This three-year agreement is of great strategic importance as Motoman is one of the world's leading manufacturers of industrial robots.
During the period of the agreement, the two parties will treat each other as preferred suppliers, and Troax machine protection systems will in the main be standard part of Motoman's customized systems deliveries. The agreement also provides for Troax to train Motoman's personnel in machine protection at the robot manufacturer's own training centre in Kalmar, Sweden.
"This agreement is of strategic importance as it will strengthen the market positions of both companies," explains Stefan Andersson, President of Troax. "By joining forces, we can offer the end-customer a total solution. Our combined strength is based on Motoman having a strong presence in most of the markets where Troax has subsidiaries and/or distributors, which means that we can also offer local service and support."
