Indianapolis and Marion County Award Northrop Grumman Outsourcing Contract for Information Technology Services


HERNDON, Va., Nov. 9, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) has been selected by the city of Indianapolis and the county of Marion, Ind., for an information technology outsourcing contract that will offer improvements in quality, innovation, customer responsiveness, risk avoidance, and cost effectiveness.

As part of the contract, Northrop Grumman will provide on-site management, operation and support of the city's and county's data center, networks, distributed computing, help desk, and application services.

Indianapolis-Marion County is one of the country's largest combined city-county governments and is experienced in evaluating IT providers."

The contract is valued at $46 million over a five-year term with the potential for three one-year options to Northrop Grumman's Information Technology (IT) sector.
