Skandia Strengthens Organisation


STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Nov. 10, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Skandia Sweden is further strengthening its organisation with the appointment of Gunilla Forsmark-Karlsson as new president of SkandiaBanken, at the same time that Peter Friberg will head all of Skandia Sweden's fund business.

Gunilla Forsmark-Karlsson served most recently with Lansforsakringar, where she was president of Lansforsakringar Maklarservice. Forsmark-Karlsson has a long record of experience in banking and insurance. She will assume her position on 1 April 2005. Cecilia Daun Wennborg is acting president of SkandiaBanken until further notice.

Peter Friberg has been named as the new head of Skandia Sweden's fund business, including unit linked assurance. He joined Skandia in 2000 and is president of Skandia Fonder. A new president of Skandia Fonder will be appointed soon.
