CORONA, Calif., Nov. 11, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Sports Pouch Beverage Company, Inc.(Pink Sheets:SPBV), is pleased to announce that it is making preparations to soft-launch its proprietary brand, "All American Sports Pouch(tm)," for mountain spring water in an eight-ounce (8 oz.) flexible pouch with a push-pull sport cap.
The newly designed pouch package, with its construction of three layer plastic and aluminum film laminated to a fitment with a push-pull spout, will be the first and only one of its kind in the beverage consumer market segment. The Sports Pouch will compete with traditional rigid PET bottles that currently dominate the market.
Gilbert Arvizu, Sports Pouch Beverage Company President and CEO, indicated that, "The Sports Pouch will be marketed as a twelve-pack and a twenty-four pack. It will also include the same features that our company is noted for: closeable push-pull sport cap." Mr. Arvizu also explained, "Sports Pouch will continue to focus on minimizing waste, the Sports Pouch becomes flat and is therefore easier to dispose than rigid PET packaging."
Sports Pouch Beverage Co., Inc. has ordered its initial supply of film to produce its first half-million pouches. It is expected the company will hard launch its product sometime during the month of November.
