MailKey Corporation Board Changes in Anticipation of Shift in Business Focus Towards the United States

LONDON, UK and NEW YORK, Nov. 11, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- MailKey Corporation (OTCBB:MAKY) founder and CEO Tim Dean-Smith today confirmed the following changes to its board of directors, in anticipation of a shift of the company's business focus towards the United States.

Roger Ponting, based in the UK, has resigned from the board and as the company's CFO; Tim Dean-Smith has been appointed as the company's new CFO. Ms. Susan Walton, based in New York, has been appointed to the board.

Mr. Dean-Smith said, "We have reluctantly accepted Roger's resignation, and on behalf of both the board and myself, I would like to thank Roger for the very significant contribution he has made to MailKey during his tenure. In a short period of time Roger has overseen great change within the business, and has left the company better positioned to take advantage of current and future opportunities. MailKey now has a greatly reduced cost base, and is now better able to quickly react to market changes and new opportunities. Roger's considerable ability has been a key factor in achieving this."

Ms. Walton is the former Global Head of Electronic Commerce of ABN AMRO Bank, a global investment banking firm, a position that she held from 1998 to 2001. Prior to that, Ms. Walton served as the Director and Founding Partner of Caspian Securities, a global investment banking firm, from 1995 to 1998. Ms. Walton has served as the Deputy to both the Global Head of Research and Chief Operating Officer of Baring Securities, a global investment banking firm, and has served as the Founder and Chairman of the Brokerage Information Group of BIGAsia, an affiliate of Baring Securities. Ms. Walton was educated at Harvard University, London Business School and London University. She now serves as a committee member or board member of several international companies, charitable foundations and organizations.

Mr. Dean-Smith said, "Susan is a welcome addition to the board, and her experience and network will add great value to the company, particularly with the anticipated shift of our business focus towards the United States."
