WHAT: San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E) will unveil a new
state-of-the-art Web site that will allow
customers to get information about existing
outages as they happen in the San Diego
region. The Web site will tell customers
the approximate location of outages, as
well as their causes and estimated restoration time, allowing
them to incorporate that information into their
daily planning.
WHERE: The SDG&E Emergency Operations Center at 8326 Century Park
Court in San Diego. The building is in
the SDG&E complex off Kearny Villa Road near Balboa Avenue.
WHEN: Monday, Nov. 15, 2004, at 11 a.m.
WHO: Dave Geier, vice president of electric transmission and
distribution.
VISUALS:Giant screen shots of the new Web page, plus interviews with
an SDG&E executive on the development and use of the site.
