Tim Gannaway Named Chief Information Officer of RSM EquiCo


COSTA MESA, Calif., Nov. 15, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Tim Gannaway, an information technology professional with more than 15 years of experience in financial services, has been named chief information officer of RSM EquiCo, a global investment banking firm specializing in mergers, acquisitions and divestitures for the North American private middle market. He previously was vice president of information technology.

As chief information officer, Mr. Gannaway will help reengineer business processes and enhance the strategic deployment of technology throughout the company. He also will serve as a member of the executive management team.

"During his four years with the company, Tim has helped RSM EquiCo become a significant force in the M&A industry by managing complex data, information, systems and processes," said Peggy Thurmond, chief financial officer.

"In my new role I will act as a business strategist and an agent of change for business processes and technology," Mr. Gannaway said.

Mr. Gannaway joined RSM EquiCo in November of 2000. As vice president of information technology, he oversaw the expansion of the department from two desktop support employees to 22 professionals focusing on network/desktop support and systems development. He managed the implementation of a sophisticated corporate network and developed innovative enterprise systems.

Before joining RSM EquiCo, Mr. Gannaway served as vice president of business systems development at Deutsche Bank in Santa Ana, Calif. In that role, he managed derivatives for investors. Prior to that, he worked on information technology projects at several financial companies, including Bank of America Securities Services in Costa Mesa, Calif., and Andersen Consulting, in Los Angeles, Calif.

Mr. Gannaway received his bachelor's of business administration in finance and honors business from the University of Texas at Austin. He received his master's in business administration from the University of California, Irvine, where he was voted "most innovative thinker" by his graduating class.
