Iacon Announces the Acquisition of Shades of California in Honolulu, Hawaii


SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., Nov. 15, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Iacon, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Oakley, Inc., today announced the acquisition of sunglass specialty retailer Shades of California, Inc.

Located in the Ala Moana Shopping Center in Honolulu, Hawaii, Shades of California occupies a 544 square foot inline store offering a wide range of top-name sunglass brands.

"Hawaii is an important market for the sale of sunglasses and this acquisition provides Iacon with its first store in the Hawaiian market. We intend to re-brand this location at the Ala Moana Shopping Center under our Sunglass Designs concept," commented Iacon President Jeff Obstfeld.

Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
