Dangerous Vision -- War of the Minds Rages in Inventive New Suspense Thriller

RICHMOND, British Columbia, Nov. 18, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Psychic warfare explodes in a battle between a sinister corporation and two young clairvoyants. William A. Thomas transports readers into a deadly game of company espionage in the supernatural thriller, Dangerous Vision (now available through AuthorHouse).

Set in the present day, the novel follows the evil deeds of an oil conglomerate and the two people caught in the middle. Sergei Prokov developed his abilities in the company of shamans and learned to use their mental powers for his own benefit. He was the head of psychic warfare under the communist regime of old Russia, but when the Soviet Union collapsed, so did his funding. In the Axi Corporation, a multinational oil company, he found a home in New York as the head of a specialized section of surveillance for the company through psychic means.

Jim Craig is a young, struggling actor who works as a psychological test subject to pay the bills. When he crosses paths with Sergei, Jim is taken in as his apprentice. Cathy Alvarez, a math student, becomes Sergei's second addition to the new program. Through his intense, sometimes maniacal tutelage, Jim and Cathy soon are able to harness their mental abilities. However, Sergei's amoral character becomes cause for concern. He desperately pursues Cathy to no avail and tries to use mind control on her. She breaks free, but Jim is falling deeper into the psychic espionage even as all of his dreams start coming true.

A corporate takeover is building, one that could cost humanity one of its greatest inventions. Former secret agents ruthlessly begin killing anyone who stands in the way or threatens to expose their evil deeds. Jim and Cathy must unite their powers to stop them. As Jim grows stronger and falls deeply in love with Cathy, Sergei becomes enraged. Only a battle of minds can decide their fates.

Haunting and suspenseful, Dangerous Vision is a mind trip that takes readers into the heart of a battle fueled by greed, love and lust.
