XP with Ease -- Author Provides Shortcuts for Navigating Microsoft Programs

HOLLIDAY, Utah, Nov. 19, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- It was promised to be faster and easier to use, but some people still have difficulty navigating Microsoft(R) XP. For those in need of tutelage, Kirt C. Kershaw has all the notes in his new book, Dream Notes XP: Short and to the point notes and shortcuts on Microsoft(R)'s Office (now available through AuthorHouse).

This book provides all the inside tips and easy directions to master programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. According to Kershaw, some books claim to be simple, but they "load down the reader with pictures, figures to see on such and such page, and even after all that offer a one page cheat sheet." His book, on the other hand, is one large "cheat sheet" with no pictures or graphs to divert the reader's attention from the task at hand, which is learning to execute quick steps on the computer.

Dream Notes XP is like a blackboard filled with terms, definitions and their executable shortcuts, all at the reader's fingertips. As a certified Microsoft(R) Office Specialist Master Instructor 2000, Kershaw says these are the kind of notes his students need to successfully master the programs. He tosses wasted time spent thumbing through thick manuals and muddling through confusing online tutorials right into the recycle bin.

For those who need a nuts and bolts guide to enhancing computer literacy, Dream Notes XP provides an instructor's pointers on proficiency.

Kershaw has a bachelor's degree in mass communications with an emphasis in broadcast journalism from the University of Utah. He received a Distinguished Service Award from the Jordan School District for successfully helping 24 of 25 at risk students graduate. Currently, he is president of Dream Force LLC, a software training company. Dream Notes XP is his first book.
