Dr. Barnabe will oversee the various activities of Viropro Pharma, including scientific affairs, strategic global planning, implementation and set-up of the financial strategy to encompass the short, mid and long term development of the company toward its growth in the international markets, as per the earlier goals established by the founders of the company.
A graduate of Ottawa University in Medicine, Dr. Barnabe will bring to Viropro Pharma a vast and solid experience of more than 30 years in the health care area and as the former head of a multimillion dollar corporation. Dr. Barnabe has experience in the fields of life sciences, in finding risk capital in biotechnology as well as in the promotion and set-up of technology transfer programs in both public and private sectors, in Canada, the U.S., Western Europe and Japan.
In 2004, Dr. Barnabe was decorated Knight of the Order of Rio Branco by the Brazilian Government for services rendered to the country over the past years -- one of the most prestigious awards of Brazil.
While executing this very important task, Viropro Pharma aims to continue its goal of consolidating its human resources, in order to enable it to further accelerate its penetration of these specific markets.
