PlateSpin Expands its Reach Based on Unprecedented Demand for its Conversion Solutions

PlateSpin places more people in the U.S. and EMEA to extend its channel sales and support resources

TORONTO, Nov. 30, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- PlateSpin expands its market reach in the U.S. while extending its reach across Europe, Middle-East, and Africa by placing additional people in the United States, and opening an office in the United Kingdom. PlateSpin has also augmented its channel sales force significantly to handle the rising demand for PlateSpin's automated physical-to-virtual conversion solution, PowerP2V, launched in June of 2004. The new channel sales staff, based in London, U.K. and Dallas, Texas will enhance PlateSpin's ability to fulfill demand for PowerP2V and future products and also enhance PlateSpin's ability to interact and improve efficiency with its large value-added reseller, systems integrator, partner, and alliance network.

PlateSpin PowerP2V is an automated server conversion solution that allows data centers to migrate Windows and Linux servers between physical and virtual infrastructure, as well as between disparate virtual infrastructures in a completely hands-free and automated way. PlateSpin PowerP2V currently supports conversions to VMware ESX Server and GSX Server, as well as Microsoft Virtual Server 2005.

"PlateSpin's PowerP2V package is our fastest growing virtualization solution right now. The interest level has been at high levels, especially since VMworld. Our clients are looking for the fastest way to convert their physical environments to virtual infrastructures and PlateSpin makes this happen." - Sean Shea, Expert Server Group - VMware Premier Enterprise Partner

"We are extremely pleased at the amount of enthusiasm for our products and solutions." said Eric Courville, VP of Sales and Business Development, PlateSpin Ltd. "Demand for PlateSpin's products continues to rise on a weekly basis. By expanding our channel sales and support staff and the launch of new offices in the U.S. and Europe, we will be in a better position to serve our customers and partners at the local level."

"As we gain momentum in the market, and as we introduce new products and solutions that complement our Operating System Portability platform, we will need to expand to accommodate rising demand." said Stephen Pollack, CEO of PlateSpin Ltd. "We are excited that the products and solutions that we're bringing to market are aligned with customer needs. The additional channel sales resources will help keep pace with this increased demand."
