(OTCBB:DDYN), announced that its Black Chandelier holiday retail store opened last Friday with a festive flourish-a toy orchestra of miniature instruments-and triumphant sales last Friday. Because first run-stock sales were underestimated, many goods went back into production by Monday. The store's amusement park atmosphere and unique to Salt Lake merchandise is quickly finding a following in shoppers who are looking for something different from what the mall typically has to offer. Yet another wave of excitement will hit on December 3rd, when the wild Black Chandelier skateboard line rolls into the store.
The initial feedback about the downtown Salt Lake store has lead to preliminary discussions about expanding to larger markets. "We have our eyes on larger things because we have seen how well this store works in this small market," says Jared Gold.
Buzz about the December 10th fashion show has picked up, thanks to collaborations with local businesses, including The McCarty Agency (www.mccartytalent.com), Tyson Daniel Studio Salons (www.tdstudiosalon.com) and Red Bull energy drink. VIP invitations to local press and industry buyers will be distributed this week.
