Photo Release -- Northrop Grumman Appoints Catherine Kuenzel Sector Vice President of Field Operations


HERNDON, Va., Dec. 3, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) has named Catherine Kuenzel vice president of field operations in the company's Information Technology (IT) sector.

In this role, Kuenzel will have overall responsibility for sales, program management, business development and marketing functions for the sector's Computing Systems business unit, which provides commercial-off-the-shelf-based enterprise information technology through four market segments: hardware, software, services and solutions. The Computing Systems unit is the largest Cisco-certified Gold Partner to the federal government and holds more than 80 associate and professional certifications.

Kuenzel joined Northrop Grumman IT in November 2002 as director of National Security Agency business operations, where she was responsible for management, coordination, execution and account management activities for that intelligence organization. In July 2003 she was selected as the new director of Northrop Grumman's cryptologic systems division.

Prior to joining Northrop Grumman, Kuenzel was the area vice president of the advanced programs group at Oracle Corporation, where she was responsible for directing the team that markets and sells Oracle's database and application suite solutions to the intelligence community. Before joining Oracle, Kuenzel was the vice president for Lucent Technology's advanced program group. Earlier, she was with Digital Equipment Corporation, which merged with Compaq Computer.

Kuenzel is a prior board member of the AFCEA Intelligence Committee and has a bachelor's degree in business and management from the University of Maryland University College.
