Montana Oil and Gas Tying in to Producing West Lock Well

VANCOUVER, B.C., Dec. 3, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Montana Oil & Gas (Pink Sheets:MOGI) President Peter Sanders is reporting today that the operator of the Richmount Westlock well has contracted to lay a four-inch diameter steel pipe gas-gathering system. The gas-gathering system will run for 1.75 miles, and connect the well for production. Commencement of the project will be on December 6, 2004 and should be completed by the end of this year.

Mr. Sanders states, "We are very pleased with this news. This now puts Montana Oil and Gas into ongoing cash flow."

The initial production rate of the well will be 500,000 cubic feet of gas per day and it is anticipated that it will be increased in four months after a review of reservoir data from the initial production records.
