Qpass Customers Achieve $1 Million Day

Important indicator of the growth and potential of premium services


SEATTLE, Dec. 6, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Qpass(r), the proven and preferred provider of mobile commerce software, announced today that Qpass customers collectively achieved more than $1 million of premium services revenue through Qpass' Prosperity Series(tm) software in a single day during Thanksgiving weekend.

"The 'million-dollar day' is another phenomenal milestone for our customers. We expect to see historic growth levels continue to accelerate in the coming months. In fact, we anticipate approaching the $1.5 million a day level before the end of this year thanks in part to expectations for strong sales of multimedia phones this holiday season," said Chase Franklin, Qpass CEO.

The average value of each transaction using Qpass software was $2.21, an increase of 13% in the past year. On a percentage basis, mobile gaming continues to show the strongest growth, increasing more than 690% in 2004, and constituting 21.8% of premium services revenue in the last 30 days. Ringtones continue to make the largest contribution to total revenues from downloadables, with dollar volumes increasing 260% so far this year, and constituting 58.83% of premium services revenue in the last 30 days. Premium messaging, icons, enterprise applications, and wallpapers are the other significant contributors to premium services revenue growth.

Mobile operators using Qpass' software are on track to exceed $200 million in aggregate revenue in 2004, with an average growth rate of more than 70% per quarter over the past year.
