Megola Announces Multiple Installations for Kitchener Housing

Megola Making First Major Entry into Multi-Unit Housing Market

CORUNNA, Ontario , Dec. 7, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Megola, Inc. (OTCBB:MGOA), a leading solution provider in physical water treatment, microbiological control, wastewater treatment and air purification, announced that it has just made its fourth ScaleGuard installation for Kitchener Housing Inc., the non-profit housing corporation in the city of Kitchener, Ontario. These installations are helping Kitchener Housing convert its method of hard water treatment in its multi-unit housing developments from water softeners (salt softeners) to a more cost efficient and environmentally friendly technology.

"Megola's most recent installation for Kitchener Housing was in one of their largest buildings. We installed a ScaleGuard SG300 system to replace the aging salt softeners that have been in place in this 100-unit building for years. This particular ScaleGuard model can handle over 6000 gallons of water per hour. As expected, everyone was pleased with the transition. Kitchener Housing will save $5000 per year on salt and water costs, they no longer have to worry about the cost of replacing their old softener system and the residents still enjoy clean, conditioned water," says Dennis Davies, Distribution Manager of Megola, Inc.

Like many other commercial and municipal entities, Kitchener Housing Inc., with its 563 rental units, was seeking solutions that enable it to both save money and operate in an environmentally friendly manner. Megola's ScaleGuard technology is proving to be a great alternative for Kitchener Housing.

"Megola is pleased that it can assist its clients in an environmentally friendly manner while also saving them money. We believe that we are only beginning to scratch the surface of this potentially huge market for our ScaleGuard technology in multi-unit housing and commercial buildings. Kitchener Housing's foresight will serve as a great example to other public housing authorities and commercial housing corporations of how ScaleGuard economically and efficiently addresses even severe hard water problems," adds Joel Gardner, Chief Executive Officer of Megola, Inc.

Since going public late last year, Megola (www.megola.com) has been attracting an increasing amount of interest from a variety of industries. The company is in the process of greatly expanding both the scope of its offerings and its reach throughout the global marketplace. Through the continuance of the new business model that was previously launched this year, Megola believes it can significantly boost its revenues.
