Lapis Technologies Inc. Receives First Follow-Up Order for Two Ruggedized O-Level Missile Testers

NEW YORK, Dec. 8, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Enertec Systems 2001, a majority-owned affiliate company of Lapis Technologies Inc. (OTCBB:LPST), today announced that it has booked its first follow-up order for two ruggedized O-Level Missile Testers generating a couple of hundred thousand dollars in revenue.

Harry Mund, CEO of Lapis Technologies Inc. says, "I am delighted with this order because it reflects our successful entree into the market of Missile testers. This order, which was received from Rafael, marks the success of the initial test phase of two orders that were delivered for testing in a laboratory setting in the third quarter 2003."

The Ruggedized units are more compact in size, lighter and more durable under harsh weather conditions, than the testers delivered for lab testing purposes. Yet with this portability comes increased functionality including significant shock and vibration absorption.

It is anticipated that, if successful, this should lead to a significant roll-out of this product for Rafael in 2005.

Lapis Technologies Inc. was formed in Delaware on January 31, 2002.
