Lessons about Life from the Spirit Realm -- Author's Father Offers Firsthand Account of What Happens After Death

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, Ohio, Dec. 10, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Death is not the end, writes Shirley Buck Welton in her new book, Thoughts From Another World: Communications (now available through AuthorHouse). Her father communicates with her from the spirit realm, and she has collected his fascinating stories in a book designed to help people feel more joyous as they live on Earth.

Because of the true love and understanding between them, Welton and her father can communicate between dimensions. Through telepathy, the words flow easily into her mind and onto the page. This gift has informed Welton that death is just the beginning of a new stage in one's life. After the body dies, the spirit moves to one of many "abodes," or thought states. The spirit's future depends on its inner needs, thoughts and will, she says.

The best "abode" a spirit can go to is the Planet of Redemption, where the evolution of man continues at a quick pace toward the God-like. Welton's father is there, as is Christ, "the most perfect manifestation of God that man can know and love as guide, friend and teacher," Welton writes. Spirits can travel to distant places through meditation, and they enjoy a "heaven" that is a utopia of beauty, love, cooperation and creativity.

Her father not only discusses what happens after death, but ways the living can make the most of their precious time on Earth. He tells about past lives, evil in the universe and the meaning of life. The relationships between predestination and free will, as well as heredity and reincarnation are also illustrated. Advice from him about how to live more joyfully has helped Welton enjoy a more contented life, and she hopes her father's message will do the same for readers.

Thoughts From Another World is a captivating glimpse into the unknown. "The communications with my father have caused me to believe that there is a divine plan that applies to every form of intelligent life," Welton writes. "Everything around us is a miracle if we really stop to think and look, instead of taking everything, and life itself, for granted."

At 95, Welton lives in Cleveland. She earned bachelor's degrees in violin and English and a master's degree in German. She also lived and studied in Stuttgart, Germany for two years and Paris for a year. She traveled throughout Europe, Africa, the United States and Mexico, where she lived with her husband, a composer. Thoughts From Another World is her first book.
