Patricia Tubert to Join Los Angeles World Airports as Deputy Executive Director of Quality & Compliance


LOS ANGELES, Dec. 14, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) has announced the appointment of Patricia Tubert as Deputy Executive Director of Quality and Compliance effective January 24, 2005. She will be responsible for overseeing LAWA's compliance with the regulatory requirements of various environmental monitoring agencies and will report to Kim Day, LAWA's executive director.

Tubert also will be responsible for efforts to report and mitigate environmental impacts associated with LAWA's four airports and ensuring compliance with the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) Master Plan environmental monitoring and mitigation measures, including the Mitigation Monitoring and Reporting Program and the Community Benefits Agreement.

Tubert will join LAWA after 27 years with the Los Angeles City Attorney's Office where she currently serves as chief assistant city attorney. She previously worked as chief legal council for LAWA, providing the Board of Airport Commissioners, LAWA management and consultants with legal advice and representation on Master Plan issues, contract preparation, leases, permits, agreements and litigation.

She did undergraduate work at the University of California, Los Angeles and received her law degree from Southwestern University.

Los Angeles World Airports is a City of Los Angeles department that owns and operates four airports: LAX, Ontario International, Van Nuys (general aviation) and Palmdale Regional.
