Wall Street News Alert: U.S. Hot Stock Highlights! December 15, 2004

WESTON, Fla., Dec. 15, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Wall Street News Alert's "stocks to watch" this morning are: Bullion River Gold Corp. (OTCBB:BLRV), Manchester Technologies (Nasdaq:MANC), QUALCOMM, Inc. (Nasdaq:QCOM) and VERITAS Software Corporation (Nasdaq:VRTS).

Aggressive investors and traders will want to watch Bullion River Gold Corp. (OTCBB: BLRV) this morning! Yesterday after the markets closed, the company issued a press release announcing that it has selected eight drill sites on its 100% owned Wenban Spring property, six miles southwest of the Cortez Hill gold deposit in central Nevada.

This could be good news for investors! The drill site selection is based on Bullion River's previous fieldwork and the completion and evaluation of its recent CSAMT geophysics program.

According to the company's press release, the recently discovered, world-class Cortez Hills deposit area, which is currently being explored by the Cortez Joint Venture (Placer Dome Inc. 60%, and Rio Tinto's, subsidiary Kennecott 40%), contains a preliminary reserve of 8.66 million ounces of gold and is also covered by post-mineral alluvium. The Cortez Hills discovery has drawn numerous companies to the area; Bullion River's Wenban Spring property is in a premier location directly abutting the Cortez JV property.

Investors will want to watch this one as things progress! Bullion River's President Peter M. Kuhn stated: "As previously mentioned, we plan to advance our drill program of four to six holes as much as we can. We just submitted our Plan of Operations to the Bureau of Land Management, which contains eight different drill sites. Our goal is to drill holes to a depth of at least 1,000 ft in this first campaign as early as we can in 2005."

The stock closed yesterday at Ninety-Four cents a share.

In case you are not familiar with the company: Bullion River Gold Corp. is an American based mineral exploration company focusing on regions containing gold-silver deposits predominantly located in the Southwest United States. The company presently has a total of seven properties of which five are located in Nevada. Three of these properties are considered advance projects and two are considered grassroots projects. The two remaining properties are in California. Both of these properties are past producers.

Stocks showing interesting activity yesterday at the close of the regular trading day were: Manchester Technologies (NASDAQ: MANC) up 66.3 on 1.5 million shares traded, QUALCOMM, Inc. (NASDAQ: QCOM) up 0.3% on 13.1 million shares traded and VERITAS Software Corporation (NASDAQ: VRTS) up 8.6% on 42.6 million shares traded.

Commentary: "Mortgage rates continue to remain at record lows, with the 30-year mortgage hovering around 5.75%, the 15-year at 5.25%, and the adjustable around 4.75%. Refinancing and second mortgages are still at record highs and are one of the highlights in the consumer driven sector," stated Sonja Rudd in Wall Street News Alert's daily commentary continued at: http://www.WallStreetNewsAlert.com.
