California Software Announces JD Edwards Migration Plan to Windows

SAN CLEMENTE, Calif., Dec. 16, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- California Software Corporation (Pink Sheets:CSWP), a leader in Legacy Extension, Business Intelligence and loan production software for banks, credit unions and consumer lending institutions and developer of the award-winning BABY, Unibol, and INFINITE product lines, announced today its latest program for migrating iSeries-based JD Edwards applications for customers who own source code.

"In the confusion of the Oracle acquisition of PeopleSoft, we find that many loyal JD Edwards clients are very concerned about future support of the iSeries by Oracle. By providing an easy and inexpensive way to maintain the applications in their native source, using their native database, California Software can insure continued support for their tried and true JD Edwards applications," said Carol Conway, President, California Software.

JD Edwards users with a complete set or source code can very easily migrate their IBM iSeries-based applications to Windows using California Software's INFINITE iSERIES platform. California Software is a founding member of Microsoft's recently announced plan to migrate iSeries-based applications, such as JD Edwards, to Windows.

"We are very concerned that the IBM roadmap for iSeries customers and ISV's coupled with the acquisition of a premier iSeries developer such as JD Edwards has created more questions than answers about the future of the platform," stated Bruce Acacio, CEO. "We believe that we are uniquely positioned with a strategy and a product set that can provide viable, fast and easy-to-implement solutions for iSeries customers and ISV's."
