Los Angeles Airport Announces Holiday Travel Forecast; Opens Cell Phone Waiting Lot to Reduce Traffic Congestion

 WHAT:     Los Angeles International Airport will announce the opening
           of a new 79-space LAX Cell Phone Waiting Lot to help reduce
           vehicle traffic congestion in the Central Terminal Area.
           Motorists meeting arriving passengers can wait for free
           until passengers call to say they are ready to be picked up
           terminal curbside. Airport officials also will announce the
           airport's holiday travel forecast, which will be the 
           busiest air travel holiday volume since prior to Sept. 11, 
           2001. Information on airport staffing during the holidays
           and "Smart Traveler Tips" also will be provided.
