Fagerhult announces disposal of Aneta


STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Dec. 21, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Fagerhult today announces the sale of one of its subsidiaries in domestic lighting, Aneta Belysning. The business is being aquired by the Norwegian based Byggma ASA. The disposal is a step in the execution of Fagerhults previously announced strategy to focus on business in the professional lighting segment.

Aneta Belysning has been a part of the Fagerhult Group since 1995. The business is based in Vaxjo and offers lighting products for domestic purposes. Aneta has 40 employees in Sweden and Finland with the majority in Vaxjo.

This disposal is a step in the execution of Fagerhults previously announced strategy to focus on business in the professional lighting segment. Fagerhult recently started manufacturing and sales activities in China and have plans for further expansion in other markets.

"We have to focus on our strategy to be in professional lighting and I am pleased that we are able to find such a natural home for the business," says Fagerhults CEO Per Borgvall.

Byggma ASA is listed on the Oslo stock exchange, offering building material solutions in Scandinavia and Northern Europe. With a Group turnover of 700 MNOK and 430 employees, they already have three companies in domestic lighting, Scan-Lamps AS, Rolf Dolven AS and Scanel AS with a sales turnover of 60 MNOK.

Fagerhult develops, manufactures and markets high quality lighting systems. Our product range includes luminaries for offices, shops, hospitals, schools, industries and other public environments. Manufacturing takes place in Habo, Ornskoldsvik and Falkenberg in Sweden. Foreign sales companies are located in Norway, Denmark, Finland, Germany, the Netherlands and the UK. On other markets sales are carried out through agents. The Fagerhult Group, which includes Atelje Lyktan, Aneta, Belid and Tryckta, has sales of SEK 1 400 million, 1 200 employees. The Fagerhult share is listed on the Stockholm Stock Exchange's O-list.
