The Smart Card-ready Maxent displays will support high-definition video content from cable providers nationwide.
Maxent will initially introduce integrated ATSC receivers into its 42- and 50-inch plasma displays in Q2 2005 with expansion into the remainder of the plasma and LCD product line scheduled for Q4 2005. With the early integration of the high definition receivers this year, Maxent products will support ATSC technology well in advance of the July 2005 mandate for ATSC support in all television products 36 inches and larger.
