Ekwan-X Announces the Company's Go Forward Initiatives for 2005

TORONTO, Jan. 6, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Ekwan-X, Inc. (Pink Sheets:EKWX) an innovator in the emerging field of hyperspectral sensing imaging, announces its go forward initiatives for Q1 2005.

The Company will commence its focus on two key areas for the first quarter of 2005: 1) commencing data compilation for a large-scale mineral exploration program planned for the State of Nevada with an advanced hyperspectral imager called "EKWAN I," and 2) secondly by creating partnerships with mining and oil/gas companies that would bring revenue to the Company.

EKWAN I fills a unique niche in the market. EKWAN I is designed to fly at low altitudes on an aircraft with geophysical equipment to provide clients with a cost effective way of simultaneously collecting hyperspectral and geophysical data.

"EKWAN I has already completed the construction and testing stage and we have flown a several test missions where the results have been excellent," said Ed Godin, CEO and President of Ekwan-X. "With EKWAN I we have introduced a cost effective way for all mining companies both juniors and established to be able to deliver data in a very quick manner. We are very excited by the prospects that EKWAN I will give us and we firmly believe that this technology will bring a significant amount of interest and attention to Ekwan-X, especially within the mining and oil & gas sector where our technology is best suited for."

The Company will also look to management who has strong ties in the mining industry to execute its marketing strategy. The Company intends to not just be a passive partner but to be an active one. "We are not just selling imaging technology, we are looking to set up partnerships where we can engage in mining exploration on our own behalf and obtain royalty interests from clients," stated Ed Godin.

The Company has already received several enquiries of interest and will keep shareholders updated as the situation matures.

Ekwan-X is a mineral exploration company using hyperspectral imaging technology. Ekwan-X will concentrate its resources to fully exploit the highly mineralized areas in Nevada, New Mexico, and Arizona.
