A Strange Young Hero, Evil Men, and Magical Creatures -- New Fantasy Novel Takes Readers to the Secret Land of Boovarians

TRENTON, N.J., Jan. 6, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Wally Wizzlatch was the object of ridicule in school. Even as a child, he was stocky with incongruous physical appearance that it was no exaggeration to liken him to the Neanderthal man. Mentally gifted, Wally learned to deal with the derision and focus on pursuing knowledge. In one of his scientific experiments, Wally is unexpectedly transported to a strange foreign land unknown to the rest of the world, the Dome of Entropy. There he meets an erudite old man who reveals Wally's destiny and tremendous responsibility. When evil forces threaten to wreak havoc on the Dome and the rest of our world, Wally and his newfound friends must find a way to save both worlds. D.R. Caesarson's new science fiction and fantasy novel Scion of the Stone takes readers to a hidden realm wherein lies a mysterious land inhabited by fascinating magical creatures.

Wally was brought to America by his parents when he was still an infant. Unknown to him, his exceptional intelligence was tied to a great destiny and to the land of his birth, the Dome of Entropy. The sagacious old man whom Wally meets is the keeper of an extraordinary mountain called Mount Neverest. The mountain, composed of meteor material, keeps the geological balance of their hidden land as well as our world. When evil men found a way inside Mount Neverest and plan to harness its power to rule over the world, Wally must fulfill the destiny given to him since birth. Wally Wizzlatch is the successor of the keeper. Together with his new friends -- a cat, an extraterrestrial moose, a horsefly, and a talking parrot -- and the old mountain keeper, Wally must find the courage to save Boovaria and our world.

In Scion of the Stone, Caesarson has created a plausible fantasy land that comes alive with the author's vivid descriptions. The magical creatures he invents to help the young protagonist along are both entertaining and fascinating. This novel, which mixes science fiction and fantasy, will hook readers from page one till the end.
