Investors will want to have a look at a media ownership firm that has focused its core business in Greater China, and is one of the largest and most influential media communications suppliers and specialists in Southern China. Incorporated as Eagle River Mining Corp. (OTCBB:ERVR), the Company's management was offered the opportunity to acquire some of the most desired and lucrative media properties in China. Tuesday after the closing bell, the company announced that its Guangzhou MTR (Subway) Pillar Advertising Project has received a 1 year advertising contract, valued at approximately $810,000 U.S. (6,720,000 Chinese RMB), or $67,500 monthly, from Zhujiang Beer Group Company of Guangzhou, China. Zhujiang Beer Group is a major alcoholic brand in China and a market leader in its native Southern China. The Company added it will place the advertising campaign, which sold for a premium over their regular posted rate of $36,000 per month U.S., in one of their busiest locations.
As previously announced on December 28, 2004, the Company's other property is the Guangzhou New Baiyun Airport Scrolling Advertising Project; 100 large size (1.5 metres x 5 metres) scrolling 3 poster signs located in the passenger terminal of one of the newest and busiest airports in China. The Company said it expects to start the project in early 2005, and that posted advertising rates will be approximately $12,000 U.S. per sign per month. Eagle River Mining Corp.'s management noted that it anticipates a name and symbol change in the near future to better reflect the Company's core Media and Advertising focus.
ERVR is currently trading at around 50 cents a share.

Wireless telephone systems provider, SpectraLink Corp., announced late Monday preliminary results for fiscal 2004, expected to be more than its previous guidance for annual revenue and earnings. The company said it expects to report revenues for fiscal year 2004 of approximately $90 million, and corresponding full year earnings of about $0.56 per diluted share. Gross margins for the year are expected to be about 63%, in the middle of the company's previously announced guidance range. For the fourth quarter of fiscal 2004, the company expects to report revenue of about $27.5 million and corresponding earnings around $0.20 per fully diluted share.
SLNK closed Tuesday's regular trading session at $16.75 on volume of 2.4 million shares.
MedImmune Inc. (Nasdaq:MEDI)
Biotechnology company, MedImmune Inc., announced an update Tuesday on its influenza vaccine program. The company said it now expects to report sales of the vaccine FluMist, a first-generation intranasal influenza vaccine marketed in the United States, to be in the range of 1.7 million to 2 million doses. MedImmune originally planned 450,000 doses, but increased its sales expectations following national shortage of the injectable influenza vaccine to a range of 1 million to 2 million doses in October 2004.
MEDI closed Tuesday's regular trading session at $24.78 on volume of 5.8 million shares.
UTStarcom Inc. (Nasdaq:UTSI)
Telecommunications company UTStarcom Inc. announced Tuesday that its fourth-quarter results would come in below its prior guidance, due to problems emerging from its operations in China. The company lowered its fourth-quarter revenue guidance to a range of $740 to $745 million from prior guidance range between $875 and $885 million. The company also said it expects a fourth-quarter loss of $0.40 to $0.45 per share.
UTSI closed Tuesday's regular trading session at $16.52 on volume of 3.77 million shares.
