ATSI Revenues Up 435%

Positive Trend in VoIP Business Continues


SAN ANTONIO, Texas, Jan. 12, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- ATSI Communications, Inc. (OTCBB:ATSX) announced today that the Company expects revenues for the 2nd quarter ended January 31, 2005 to reach $1,350,000. In comparison, this is a 435% increase over the previous fiscal year's 2nd quarter ended January 31, 2004 and a 60% increase over the immediately preceding quarter ended October 31, 2004.

ATSI President and CEO, Arthur L. Smith stated, "The growth trend in our VoIP business has continued as expected. December 2004 was another record month for ATSI since completing our reincorporation with approximately $525,000 in total revenues. We signed up additional customers during the quarter, including a top-tier global carrier, while diversifying our VoIP routes."
