The Book That Bino Wrote -- Author Questions Validity of Christian Dogmatic Interpretations

JOHANNESBURG, South Africa, Jan. 13, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- The different texts and dogmas of world religions have caused much strife and bloodshed throughout history despite that many of their individual tenets are often similar. Bino Pires hopes to debunk the "holiness" of Christianity in his poignant new book, The Book That Bino Wrote: and...The Bibles That They Wrote (now available through AuthorHouse).

Divided into four comprehensive sections, The Book That Bino Wrote takes the words of both the Old and New Testaments of the Bible "beyond the religious significance of 'holy' and beyond the religious doctrines and dogmas, which arose from the Bible's varied interpretations." Pires questions Christianity against a historical background and "liberates" these writings "from the label of holiness," which he feels has been applied by different religious sects.

The first part of Pires' book deals with concepts relative to God, such as good and evil, freewill and guardians. The themes within this section, which evolve from the basic principle of reincarnation, lay the foundations for the rest of the book's discussion. Historical background begins in the second section, where he proves three main points about interpretation, quantity of spirituality and room for doubt. The third part launches into a "heavy criticism" of the New Testament and the "forceful" Christian interpretation of this text. Within this section, Pires says he places "a strong doubting question in not only the Christian interpretations, but also in the actual truth of the stories." The last section explains religious dogma from the angle of spirituality. Throughout his discussion, he quotes Bible passages to support his thesis.

Whether Christian, Muslim, Jew, Hindu or Buddhist, The Book That Bino Wrote evokes inner examination of beliefs and challenges the millennia of spin Christianity has endured.

Born in a small village in rural Europe, he frequented a Catholic seminary for a short period, which strengthened his childhood. However, the religious doctrine caused philosophical questions to bubble in his mind. While in the national service, he was exposed to a myriad of spiritual beliefs from other cultures. He now lives in South Africa and continues his quest for truth. For more information, visit his Web site at www.binopires.com.
