Associated Grocers, Incorporated Contributes to Tsunami Disaster Relief Effort


SEATTLE, Jan. 18, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Associated Grocers, Incorporated has joined the world effort in taking steps to bring relief to those stricken by the recent tsunami disaster. In response to this emergency, AG has made a $25,000 cash contribution to the American Red Cross on behalf of AG's retail customers and employees.

In addition, Associated Grocers has challenged its vendor partners to make donations to the relief efforts, including nonperishable food and personal care items that can be shipped to the disaster areas. AG is working with aid organizations to ensure the right kinds of products reach those in need.
