eLocity Inc.: Investor Alert, Wednesday's Stocks to Watch: STTC, YHOO, IDSY, JNPR


SARASOTA, Fla., Jan. 19, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- The following is an investment opinion issued by eLocity Inc.:

Aggressive stock traders and investors, have a look at SoftNet Technology (OTCBB:STTC). SoftNet announced Tuesday that its wholly owned subsidiary WholesaleByUs (WBU), is expanding product distribution. The expansion will be funneled through Froogle.com and Overstock.com. The company further stated that, "WBU will be selling through the Froogle.com portal here in the United States and in the United Kingdom. Froogle.com will redirect all searches for products listed through the froogle.com search engine to the WBU website."

STTC traded volume Tuesday of 1,613,693 and is currently trading at around 21 cents a share.

Yahoo! Inc. (Nasdaq:YHOO)

Internet products and service provider, Yahoo Inc!, announced its financial results for the fourth quarter and fiscal 2004 after the closing bell Tuesday, stating net income, excluding item, was $187.0 million or $0.13 per share, compared to $75.0 or $0.05 per share for the year ago quarter. Yahoo reported gross profit for the quarter of $691 million, a 56% increase compared to $443 million for the last year quarter. Operating income for the quarter was $235 million, up 149% from $94 million for the prior year quarter and operating income before depreciation and amortization for the quarter was $327 million, an 84% increase compared to $178 million for the last year quarter, Yahoo! said. Yahoo! reported fourth quarter revenues, excluding traffic acquisition costs, of $785.0 million, up 54% from $511.3 million for the previous year quarter.

YHOO closed Tuesday's regular trading session at $37.18 on volume of 43.8 million shares.

I.D. Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq:IDSY)

Asset management company, I.D. Systems Inc., announced Tuesday that it received a contract worth at least $4 million from the Postal Service to install tracking systems on its vehicles. I.D. Systems said the three-year contract calls for the company to deploy its Wireless Asset Net tracking system at eight major post office facilities nationwide with the potential to reach up to 460 facilities over the life of the contract.

IDSY closed Tuesday's regular trading session at $18.45 on volume of 629,064 shares.

Juniper Networks (Nasdaq:JNPR)

Networking and security solutions provider, Juniper Networks, announced Tuesday its fourth quarter financial results, reporting net income of $85.9 million or $0.15 per share, compared to $27.7 million or $0.06 per share in the year ago quarter. GAAP net income for the quarter was $66.0 million or $0.11 per share, compared to $14.7 million or $0.03 per share in the fourth quarter of 2003. The company said its revenues for the quarter were $430.1 million, compared to $207 million in the prior year quarter. The company reported non-GAAP net income of $238.6 million or $0.44 per share, compared to $59 million or $0.14 per share in the preceding year, for the full year.

JNPR closed Tuesday's regular trading session at $26.46 on volume of 15.77 million shares.
