Tuesday the Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 70.79 points or 0.67% closing at 10,628.79 while the bellwether S&P 500 increased 11.42 points or 0.96% ending the session at 1,195.94. The New York Stock Exchange volume total increased 19% from the prior session to 1.58 billion shares as big board advancer's outpaced decliners 2,247 to 1,075 and there were 161 new 52-week highs and 23 new lows. The NASDAQ Composite gained 18.13 or 0.87% closing at 2,106.04 and the NASDAQ exchange's volume decreased 7% to 1.95 billion shares. On NASDAQ advancers outpaced decliners 1,980 to 1,156 with 91 new 52-week highs and 22 new lows.
