Say No More! -- New Novel Entertains While Advocating Against Abuse

GLENDALE, Ariz., Jan. 20, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- When you are alone and hurting, just waiting for the next round of pain, it helps to imagine that any moment a powerful warrior will burst in to save you. In the enthralling new book The Elite Force, author D.J. Henderson lives out this fantasy or, in some cases, reality.

The story follows the heroic adventures of Lynn, Char, and DJ, a team of powerful warriors belonging to an ancient sect. In this dark, secret world of abuse, this trio of Scottish female warriors arrived to stand as a formidable force to defend the hopeless. Through stone portals, they move forward and backward in time to track down law offenders. Their mission is to dispose of Jake Myers, murderer and inveterate liar, who has always slipped through the justice system.

In The Elite Force, Henderson weaved a captivating tale with a big heart. While entertaining the reader with an exciting plot, she does not miss a beat to advocate against abuse. "I grew up in an abusive family but I won. You see, I fought back and have continued to fight. Whenever I see abuse, I confront it on the spot," she says.

About the Author

D.J. Henderson is a twelfth generation Scot from Glencoe. The stories, legends, history, and lore passed down from generation to generation inspired her to start writing short stories at a very young age. As the years slipped by, she felt a need to reach out to the abused and give them some hope through her writings. A professor at Mountain States Technical Institute, she has written poems and short stories all her life. The Elite Force took her over ten years to write as the ghosts of the past kept raising their ugly heads. Henderson is a true warrior at heart who is now ready to stand and fight for the rights of all life, no matter how small. A portion of each sale will be donated to the Violence Against Families and the No Kill Animal Shelters organizations.
