STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Jan. 24, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- VRT, the public service Flemish Radio- and Television Company (Vlaamse Radio- en Televisieomroep), has chosen to order a complete DAB head end system with full redundancy from Factum Electronics AB.
In stiff competition, Factum will replace the existing DAB equipment at VRT. The Factum equipment consists of a redundant multiplexer system, redundant audio encoders, dynamic range controllers, redundant data broadcasting servers and the newly developed seamless redundancy switch. A comprehensive package of training and software development tools, is also part of the order.
During 2004 Factum Electronics delivered several similar digital radio solutions to customers in Denmark, Germany, Italy, Korea and the United Kingdom.
