Metals & Arsenic Removal Technology Signs Agreement With WAL S.A. To Provide Media To Remove Arsenic From Household Drinking Water, According To HydroFlo Inc.

RALEIGH, N.C. and VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Jan. 25, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- HydroFlo Inc. (OTCBB:HYRF) today announced that its portfolio company, Metals & Arsenic Removal Technology Inc. (MARTI) has signed a commercial agreement with WAL S.A. (WAL) of Geneva, Switzerland. WAL will purchase the arsenic removal media (ARTI-64tm) from MARTI and use it in its pitcher containers being distributed to customers throughout Europe and the Asian continent. The product of MARTI is expected to be a help to WAL in providing its customers with a water treatment pitcher that includes the removal of arsenic as well as other contaminates.

The agreement also allows MARTI to begin distribution of the WAL pitcher filter units to customers throughout all areas of North, Central, and South America. WAL cartridges offer a guaranteed efficiency in filtering chlorine, lead, copper, zinc, nitrates and various other impurities that can now be found in tap water. With the addition of the ARTI-64tm media in the cartridges, customers can be assured of having drinking water without arsenic contaminates.

"There is a growing interest worldwide in the commercialization of our technologies for the purification of water. WAL fits well with our strategy of outsourcing distribution to experienced companies," stated George Moore, chief operations officer of MARTI. "I am pleased to be able to provide the filter units manufactured by WAL for customers in the Americas."
