SAN ANTONIO, Feb. 3, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- ATSI Communications, Inc. (OTCBB:ATSX) announced today that the company's revenues for the 2nd quarter ended January 31, 2005 reached $1,510,000 and exceeded previous estimates provided in a January 12, 2005 press release. Although typically impacted by seasonality, January 2005 revenues were $555,000, a record month since the company's reincorporation. As a result, ATSI produced three consecutive months of record revenues during its 2nd quarter. For the quarter, ATSI revenues increased 500% over the previous fiscal year's 2nd quarter ended January 31, 2004 and 79% over the immediately preceding quarter ended October 31, 2004.
ATSI President and CEO, Arthur L. Smith stated, "We are extremely pleased with the results for our 2nd quarter. Our VoIP business continued a positive trend with revenue from new customers and increased volume from existing customers offsetting the seasonality decline typically experienced during the month of January.
