Healthnostics Announces News Database Service with Reuters Health

BETHESDA, Md., Feb. 8, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Healthnostics, Inc. (Pink Sheets:HNST), a medical and bioscience information analytics and patient care improvement company, today announced a link up with Reuters Health to create a locally archived database of Reuters Health news offering reprints and e-prints of Reuters Health professional news in conjunction with Reuters' archive distribution partner, Valeo IP.

Healthnostics will be using a recently announced proprietary search technology for content mining of the Reuters Health article database. This database and new search capability will be available to medical and bioscience professionals accessing an expanded and enhanced Healthnostics portal, www.MedBioWorld.com, currently the largest medical and bioscience directory on the Internet, either wired or wirelessly. Users will also be able to receive emails and alerts of breaking news direct to their computers, PDAs or cell phones based on tailored search criteria and timings.

"We are proud to be partnering with such a prestigious news organization as Reuters Health on this unique offering for our medical and bioscience user base," said Alan Grofe, president. "This will be the first of our developing analytical databases designed to provide actionable information for our MedBioWorld portal visitors and DataQual hospital patient monitoring system users."

The Healthnostics database will begin with nearly 8,000 Reuters Health news articles covering the clinical, business and political issues in health and medicine. The Reuters Health content incorporates breaking medical news, such as core scientific research developments and summaries of news from original peer-reviewed journals (including New England Journal of Medicine, JAMA, Lancet and British Medical Journal) and annual scientific meetings and symposia.

"Reuters Health is pleased to offer this extension of our professional news database, with digital content management features, to Healthnostics strong base of medical and bioscience professional users through their MedBioWorld Website," commented Jeremy Snelling, Director of Reuters Health.

The intellectual property management technology for this database will be provided by Valeo IP, the leading digital licensing and reprint specialist for the publishing industry.
