CustomScoop Offers RSS Integration

Allows Clients to Easily Import and Export Clip Data

CONCORD, N.H., Feb. 16, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- CustomScoop today announced that its Enterprise Edition Media Monitoring and Analysis suite now serves as a central platform to organize clip data from multiple providers through the integration of RSS feeds. All CustomScoop clients receive access to the company's industry-leading search results from more than 21,000 news and information sources around the globe and now they can also integrate results from other search engines, blogs, and individual publishers.

RSS (Really Simple Syndication) provides an extremely easy industry standard way to share data over the Internet. CustomScoop clients can use it to easily insert data into clip reports and extract clip data into other applications.

CustomScoop customers will benefit from the support of RSS in a number of ways. Some of the benefits of being able to use RSS feeds in their accounts include the ability to:

-- Integrate results from major web search engines or new posts from
blog search engines to supplement CustomScoop's 21,000 sources.

-- Include news from individual publications that might not be easily
obtained through specific keyword search terms (e.g. all political
    stories from a major daily).

-- Integrate results from other media monitoring platforms to enable
use of the full suite of CustomScoop analysis tools, including
    spreadsheets, charts, graphs, and more.

An added feature of CustomScoop's RSS support is the ability to export RSS feeds. This enables customers to have even more power over how they can use the information that CustomScoop acquires for them. Here are a few ways that the customers can benefit from exporting their own RSS feed:

-- Use RSS exports of CustomScoop data to automatically import new
clips into Microsoft Outlook using a third party RSS Reader. For
example, a PR practitioner could flag stories for top executives
to read and they could automatically appear in the CEO's Outlook.

-- Use any industry standard RSS reader to view CustomScoop clip
data, offering clients maximum flexibility in reviewing results.

-- Easily integrate CustomScoop clip data onto Internet and Intranet
sites using readily available tools to display RSS feeds on web
    sites.

"It really is as simple as it sounds," says Steve Bracy, Executive Vice President of CustomScoop. "To export your clips as RSS, an RSS link appears on every page of Enterprise Edition clip results to allow easy exports based on any criteria you specify. To import an RSS feed, simply let your CustomScoop account executive know which feeds you want and we'll do all the rest."
