Semotus Announces Enhanced Wireless Capabilities with the Release of HipLinkXS Version 3.8

Latest Software Version Provides a Host of New Productivity Features

LOS GATOS, Calif., Feb. 28, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Semotus Solutions (AMEX:DLK), an innovative leader of software solutions for mobile enterprise applications, today announced the release of HipLinkXS software version 3.8. The latest release adds new communication protocols, productivity tools, and functionality to the powerful HipLinkXS suite of wireless communication and alert notification products.

HipLinkXS is an enterprise wireless software solution that provides powerful features for workforce communication and productivity. A major feature on the 3.8 release allows for the configuration data to be stored in a relational database providing for improved performance. HipLinkXS also now provides support for additional communication protocols including WAP Push, TAP and SNPP input, as well as enhanced administration and system integration functionality. These new features provide greater deployment flexibility and further emphasize the ease of implementation and use of the HipLinkXS family of products.

The new version also includes powerful new Email Gateway features that have been developed based on customer feedback and requests. Email can now be utilized as a back-up messaging protocol should the primary send protocol fail to ensure messages are received at a desktop, laptop, PDA, or cellular telephone. This feature ensures message delivery to any email enabled device automatically, providing additional message redundancy to keep employees connected to their critical messages.

Additional automation features, such as automatic synchronization, automatic fail-over for integrations, and enhanced interoperability with Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP), continue to provide ease of use combined with intuitive functionality that has made HipLinkXS one of the most highly regarded enterprise wireless solutions available today.

"This latest software version of HipLinkXS brings powerful automation features, communication protocols, and enhanced administration to our family of wireless messaging products," stated Zubin Balsara, Vice President of Engineering for Semotus Solutions. "This new capability clearly positions HipLinkXS as the premier wireless communication tool for the mobile enterprise."
