After Thursday's Bell Market Commentary
On Thursday, U.S. stocks ended mixed with blue chips advancing slightly while the semiconductor sector pulled back. Oil prices continued climbing, trading as high as $55.20 before falling back to $53.57. A report issued by the International Council of Shopping Centers-UBS showed retail sales climbing 4.4% in January versus year-ago levels. The Dow Jones ended up 21.06 points at 10,833.03. The Nasdaq fell 9.10 points to 2,058.40. The S&P 500 Index was up 0.39 points at 1,210.47.
