Tammy Driggers of Atlanta Hired as President of First Horizon Bank in Georgia

Expanded financial services from First Horizon to be available in Atlanta this quarter

ATLANTA, March 8, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Tammy Driggers has been selected as president of the Georgia region of First Horizon Bank, the national banking brand of First Horizon National Corp. (NYSE:FHN).

First Horizon National Corp. is one of the nation's 30 largest financial services companies, and the Georgia region is the corporation's fourth banking market. The corporation's First Tennessee Bank has the largest market share in Tennessee and one of the highest customer retention rates of any bank in the country, and First Horizon Bank has a growing presence in Northern Virginia, with seven offices in the Washington, D.C., area. First Horizon Bank also recently hired a president to open banks in the Texas market. All First Horizon National Corp. companies operate under the customer promise to provide "all things financial," with a focus on building long-term relationships with customers and employees.

Driggers will build on the growing awareness of the First Horizon name in Georgia. First Horizon Home Loans has successful mortgage and construction lending offices with about 18,000 customers in the Atlanta area. And First Horizon Corporate Financial Services offers corporate banking services for companies with revenue between $20 million and $500 million. In addition, First Tennessee Bank's offices in Chattanooga have services that spill over into Catoosa and Walker counties in North Georgia.

Driggers is focusing now on developing a team to provide additional commercial banking services and private client and wealth management products to customers in Georgia. First Horizon Bank will have retail banking offices in Georgia later this year.

"Customers in Georgia already have been receptive of the First Horizon name, and we're hoping to capitalize on that success by offering services for small businesses and individual customers in addition to the mortgage and mid-sized business services we already offer in Georgia," said Driggers. "It's exciting to be creating a new market for a company that plans to have strong banking markets across the country in the not-too-distant future. Hiring great people should be relatively easy because First Horizon has earned quite a reputation in the national media as one of the best places to work in the country." First Horizon National Corp. recently earned its eighth consecutive spot on Fortune magazine's list of the 100 best companies to work for in America.

Driggers established the de novo wholesale banking division in metro Atlanta for National Bank of Commerce. She also has commercial banking, private client and wealth management experience with First Union National Bank-Wachovia Bank and SunTrust. She earned her accounting degree from Valdosta State College in Valdosta, Ga.
