Universal Detection Technology's Chairman and CEO, Mr. Jacques Tizabi, Interviews with MoneyTV

LOS ANGELES, March 8, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Universal Detection Technology (OTCBB:UDTT) announced that its CEO, Mr. Jacques Tizabi, was interviewed by MoneyTV, a nationally syndicated television program.

Mr. Tizabi, among other topics, spoke about the current status of the threat of bio-terrorism and the global community's concerns over the possibility of a devastating terrorist attack involving germ warfare. Among his remarks, Mr. Tizabi mentioned the recent meeting hosted by the global police agency, Interpol, and how officials shied from detailing specific threats but warned that al Qaeda has stated its intention to use biological weapons. He also articulated about the recent move by the G7 countries to establish a germ warfare crisis center.

"In the years after the events of September 11, 2001, and the subsequent anthrax attacks, the world opened its eyes to a new threat, that of bio-terrorism. In a study by Professor Lawrence M. Wein, published by the Stanford Graduate School of Business, it was shown that the release of 2 pounds of weapons-grade anthrax from the height of 300 feet just upwind of a large U.S. city of 11.5 million people will result in 1.5 million infected individuals," said Mr. Tizabi. "We believe that one of the most important ingredients of any effective counter-bioterrorism response plan is the ability to monitor vulnerable areas constantly for airborne germs. Unless detected in early stages, a bio-terror attack can cause irreversible damages to the infrastructure of its target."

The interview will be aired nationwide on Dish Network On-Demand programming. Other airings include:
