PubSub To Include News Feeds From PrimeZone Media Network

Users Get Up To the Minute Notification of Press Releases

NEW YORK, March 9, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- PubSub today announced that PrimeZone Media Network's press release feed is being published in real-time to the PubSub Service at www.pubsub.com. This allows PubSub users to select and receive immediate notification of news releases containing information that is most relevant to them.

PubSub is a free service that monitors over 8.8 million Internet sources on users' behalf, notifying them instantly when things they care about are published in blogs, press releases, SEC filings, newsgroups and other sources. PrimeZone is one of the world's largest press release newswires and distributes public and private company news to the media, online services, databases, the investment community and consumers around the globe.

"PrimeZone is delighted that our press releases are now being matched by PubSub for instant notification to their users," said Tom Madden, CEO of PrimeZone. "PubSub is a dynamic service for delivering news and we look forward to working with them in the months and years ahead."

Whenever any newly published press release contains keywords or phrases requested in users' subscriptions, a notification is instantly delivered.

Matched results can be delivered using a wide variety of methods including on the web, into news aggregators or via email. Alternatively, PubSub provides a browser sidebar that pushes updates as they occur, eliminating the need to hit the refresh key to get up-to-date results.

"Our users rely on PubSub to keep them informed by tracking and notifying them of news highly relevant to their work," said Salim Ismail, CEO of PubSub. "We are pleased to be able to distribute PrimeZone content to the PubSub community as it gives our users the broadest possible coverage of announcements."

Four Simple Steps

To receive notifications from PubSub on press releases, users follow four simple steps:

  1. Go to www.pubsub.com.

  2. In the upper right hand box, choose Press Releases from
      the focused topic list.

  3. Enter the keywords and phrases to track.

  4. Choose how the notification is sent.

Notifications can be sent to any device that accepts email, such as a computer or a personal digital assistant (PDA) -- like a wireless-enabled Palm Pilot. Or users can download the instant messaging-based PubSub Sidebar for Internet Explorer or Firefox, which allows notifications to stream into their Web browsers in real-time.

Users can also receive notifications via RSS (Really Simple Syndication), which are fed to a "reader" like My Yahoo!, Bloglines or FeedDemon.

Today PubSub is an essential tool to anyone tracking what people are saying about the topics they care about. Thousands of PR agencies and product managers use the service to deliver immediate notification of news and mentions as they are posted to the Internet.
