Newmark Announces Business Development Objective

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, March 10, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Newmark Ventures, Inc. (OTCBB:NWMV) ("Newmark") Newmark today announced the commencement of a major development project which will be rolled out over the next few months. This development, with the working name of "Trondheim", will provide internet users of all ages and interests a safe, stimulating and multi-faceted multi-use web environment. Trondheim will be used to communicate, play individual and interactive games, trade virtual and real products, and develop both closed and open communities of interest.

Trondheim intends to leverage existing and emerging development trends while making imaginative use of avatars (virtual, anthropomorphic images) appropriate for the interests and skills of the user. New and exciting user interface paradigms will be incorporated into the development as the underlying infrastructure becomes more widely available in consumer electronic products such as consumer PCs, wireless PDAs, gaming consoles and high-functionality cellular telephones.

Whilst the underlying technical design is multi-platform, the underlying philosophy is cross-cultural. From its inception, Trondheim will be designed to be attractive to users with widely diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds. Trondheim will allow its users to interact and communicate across time and space, but will not require them to conform to any cultural world-view.

The major functionality of Trondheim is scheduled for release mid-year. However, the project will continually expand and adapt, ensuring that it maintains an exciting web presence, leveraging new technologies and concepts as they emerge.

Newmark is now in discussions with potential development partners and a team is being put together to manage the design, development, marketing and deployment of Trondheim. Management is further considering financing plans to fund the development of the Trondheim platform. Details regarding Newmark's progress in developing Trondheim will be disclosed once agreements have been secured with development, marketing and finance partners.
